This is ME part 2

7 years ago I suffered a stroke…talk about turning your life upside down. I felt upside down…sidewards and everything in between. It took me 10+ months before I was back to doing all of my previous activities as I was not able to walk on my own for 6 months.

After about 10 months I was maybe 75% back to my previous activities, meaning I was trying them but it was a struggle physically as I was still suffering from the after affects of dizziness, which caused me to often lose my balance, and I would occasionally have jumbled thoughts. Mixing up words, calling things by the wrong name etc. But I didn’t care, I was ALIVE + walking and talking somewhat normal and enjoying my dear family!!!

I shared the full story of how and why I had this stroke or strokes as they found I had apparently had 2 other strokes….which baffled my husband and I as I had never had any symptoms before this one time. You can read the full story here….

The greatest thing I have gained through this experience, is perspective and even more gratitude. I love working hard and since that time I haven’t wanted to miss a minute of what I am supposed to still accomplish on this earth. I often need to tell myself to SLOW down, it can also be easy to get distracted but I push myself to stay on track.

As of today I feel amazing and thankful I still get to work out 5x a week doing zumba and weights + snow ski or do any activity I choose. I work hard to get the right amount of sleep for me + eat to fuel my body and drink water, man I love water. And I love life, my family , and my savior Jesus Christ! Thank you for your support and love and for following me in this journey….sending you a BIG HUG
