week 2: One Room Challenge
It’s time for another update for my One Room Challenge. This week is all about narrowing down my project inspiration, plus finalizing details. I created a saved collection on instagram called bathroom LOVE.. With about 20+ different bathrooms I am loving…and I noticed there are a few recurring styles or themes in all of these inspired spaces. Black, white, wood, and cement tile. So the first thing I sourced was the floor …. and I’m absolutely loving cement tile. I love all the patterns, but have a beena little worried about picking the right one. I don’t want to pick anything that is too bold or trendy. As I don’t want the pattern to feel dated soon after we lay it. So I picked a simple modern pattern in classic white and black. The Mya tile from Riad Tile has been one of my favorites for awhile now. Super excited to announce my partnership with Riad Tile, and let you all know the maya tile is confirmed and on it’s way. It will certainly be a star of the show.
I am now finalizing the shower tile, and leaning toward the styles you see on my moodboard. Tell me what you think? We will begin prepping the floor for tile as well as prime and paint the walls as the hubs wants to have all that done before we lay the tile. I also need to confirm placement for the sink and vanity lights….so if we need to move the current sink plumbing or electric for the lights…we have time to patch up the drywall before we put in the vanity and backsplash. Goal for this week is to have these details complete and ready to lay the tile floor for when it arrives. .
